Bring your own sewing project(s) and receive expert guidance and advice from Izzy and Sophie who will be on hand to help for the weekend. We bring expert fitting and pattern drafting experience to the sewing room, helping you refine the fit of your garments.
Izzy’s experience as a pattern designer means that she loves to help people achieve an incredible fit when sewing their garments, which can be a challenging thing to do alone! So why not use the weekend to bring some garments you’ve previously sewn and refine the fit with Izzy? Or perhaps you want to finally learn how to sew a lined coat, or a pair of denim jeans? Or maybe you want to sew your very first project with us? Or perhaps you just want some uninterrupted sewing time to update your wardrobe and be inspired? Whatever you want to sew, we are here to support you every step of the way.
Around two weeks prior to the retreat each guest is invited to have an individual 20 minute video call with Izzy to discuss what project(s) you are thinking of bringing so she can prepare for your time together.
You will be provided with a dedicated sewing space for the entire weekend with a large table to ensure ample space for your projects to be laid out and sewn. The sewing room is bright and airy with plenty natural daylight and views of the surrounding countryside.
There will also be three overlockers, multiple ironing stations and a cutting space available for use, as well as all the sewing tools you might need to complete your project.
We want you to feel comfortable while sewing so we encourage you to bring your own sewing machine. However, if you would prefer complimentary use of one of our sewing machines (Janome M100QDC) then please let us know on your booking form.
The retreat is limited to 14 people, with 2 sewing instructors (Izzy and Sophie) to ensure everyone has plenty of bespoke support throughout the weekend.
