Tansen Size Chart & Fabric Requirements
IzzoSew Studio uses an inclusive size range. Our third pattern, the Tansen Top, is available in UK sizes 6-34 and comes with with a B-cup or D-cup option.
For all variations, use a light- to medium-weight stretch knit fabric, such as cotton jersey or viscose jersey with four way stretch that stretches widthways about 40%, or 30% crossways and that pings back down to size after stretching.
Choosing a Pattern Size
A pattern bust cup size is not the same as a bra cup size, it is based on the ratio between the High Bust and Bust measurements.
Measure these two dimensions and work out the difference ‘X’.
Now determine your ‘pattern size to cut’ by writing out the table below and referring to the chart underneath.
