So how can you tell which colours suit you best?

Let's explore the wonderful world of colour analysis! Have you ever noticed how some colours make you absolutely glow, while others seem to drain your energy? Colour analysis is a fantastic tool that helps you discover which colours truly harmonise with your unique natural colouring – your skin tone, hair colour, and eye colour. Think of it as finding your own personal rainbow that makes you shine from within!

The idea behind it is quite simple, really. Everyone has subtle undertones – either warm or cool – and a certain level of brightness – from soft to bright. These combine to create your personal colour signature. We often group these signatures into four seasonal families: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Don't worry, it's not about being exactly like a season, but rather finding the palette that resonates most with you.

Typical colour traits

SPRING

Springs suit warm undertones and bright colours (usually of a light to medium depth). Think of the fresh, vibrant colours of springtime. Their skin tone is always fair and often described as peachy. Hair colour can range from light blonde and strawberry blonde to warm brown. Eye colours commonly seen in Springs are blue, green, hazel, or topaz. Springs look best in light, bright, and warm colours like coral, peach, light green, and daffodil yellow.

SUMMER

Summers suit cool undertones and look best in soft, muted colours. Hair colours include ash blonde, light brown, or medium brown. Eye colours are often blue, green, grey, or hazel. Good colours for Summers are soft, cool, and muted, such as dusty rose, lavender, light blue, and jade green.

AUTUMN

Autumns suit warm undertones and their palette reflects the rich colours of autumn foliage. Hair colour can be auburn, warm brown, or dark brown. Eye colours include brown, hazel, green, or amber. Autumns shine in rich, warm, and earthy colours like rust, olive green, burnt orange, and golden brown.

WINTER

Winters suit cool undertones and usually suit deeper colours. They can wear bold, contrasting colours with ease. Hair colour is often black, dark brown, or grey. Eye colours are typically dark brown, black, blue, or green. Winters look their best in bold, cool, and contrasting colours like black, white, royal blue, and fuchsia.
